The case must be kept open if the recipient or initiating state provides information in response to the Notice of Intent to Close, and if that information could lead to the establishment of paternity, an order of support, or enforcement (or, under, 45 CFR 303.11(b)(10) contact with the recipient).
Once a case is closed, a former recipient of services may request that the case be reopened by a change in circumstances, completing a new application for IV-D services and paying the application fee, if applicableapplicable .
