Title IV-D, and Non-IV-D Case Types

Overview

Customers applying for Title IV-D child support services must complete and sign an application and pay a one-time $6 fee. Title IV-D services include location of the noncustodial parent, establishment of paternity, and child support, establishment of medical support or healthcare coverage, collection and disbursement of payments, modification of existing obligations, and enforcement of obligations including income withholding, credit bureau reporting, intercept of federal/state tax returns, bank levy, passpord denial, intercept of lottery/gambling winnings, insurance settlement intercept, bench warrant issuance, and enforcement court proceedings. An Alimony/Spousal support obligation may be eligible for Title IV-D services if the order also includes child support.

Customers who do not want to apply for Title IV-D services may opt for a Non IV-D case. An annual $25 fee is required for Non IV-D cases. Non IV-D services include establishment of paternity and child support, establishment of medical support or healthcare coverage, collection and disbursement of payments, modification of existing obligations, and enforcement of obligations through income withholding and court proceedings. Cases with Alimony/Spousal only obligations are also Non IV-D cases.
