Welcome to the New Jersey CSPMChild Support Program Manual, the official compilation of the Title IV-D Child Support policy for the State of New Jersey.

The Purpose of the Manual

The purpose of this manual is to provide New Jersey child support staff with information and procedures for performing Title IV-D CSChild Support Program activities. The guidelines and procedures included in this manual are derived from federal and state laws, statutes, regulations, and rules.

How to Use the Manual

To access the Data Security Manual, click the corresponding book icon on the Welcome page, scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the hyperlinks to open a PDF version of the manual and other related documents.

To access the Title IV-D Child Support Manual, click the corresponding book icon on the Welcome page. A menu of topics will appear: Child Support Overview, Case Initiation, Locate, Establishment, Enforcement, Financials, Modification and Transfer, Intergovernmental, and Case Closure.

The Search function in the CSPMChild Support Program Manual works like a traditional search engine. Type a term or phrase in the Search field and click the magnifying glass icon . A list of results will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. Click the bold headings to navigate to the page containing the content you want to see.

Glossary

The Glossary includes terms, as well as abbreviations for agencies, programs, forms, or concepts that appear in the IV-D Manual. Click the Glossary button to view the alphabetical list. The list will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. Click the term or acronym to view its definition.

Favorites

Use Favorites to bookmark frequently used topics or sections within the IV-D Manual. Your Favorites will be saved until you delete them. To add a topic to Favorites, open the topic and click the ribbon at the top right. To view your saved Favorites, click the ribbon icon , or click the Favorites button on the Welcome page. To delete a saved topic from the list, click the trash can icon next to the topic.

Accessing and Using NJKiDS

NJKiDS, which stands for New Jersey Kids Deserve Support, is the state’s federally certified, statewide automated case management system for tracking all information related to child support cases. NJKiDS monitors cases to ensure that case actions are completed within required time frames. NJKiDS is also used to provide statistics, reports, and information about child and alimony/ spousal support enforcement in New Jersey to federal, state, and local authorities. NJKiDS serves as the State Case Registry for IV-D support cases.
